This version of NeoPersist, release 3.0.1, is identical to NeoPersist version 3.0 except:
• A problem in ENeoBlob::setBlob() where setting a blob twice would cause the blob to be freed from memory has been fixed.
• qNeoAsyncIO has been disabled because of unconfirmed reports that it may cause NeoPersist-based applications to hang on machines which support SCSI Manager 4.3.
This file contains installation instructions and any late-breaking changes that have not made it into the manual. READ THIS FILE COMPLETELY BEFORE USING NEOPERSIST!!!

This distribution contains NeoPersist support for use on M680X0 and PowerPC processors with Metrowerks' contains support for Developer Release 4.5 of Metrowerks CodeWarrior and PowerPlant version 1.0.1 application framework.
The NeoPersist libraries folder contains production and debugging version of NeoPersist for both 68K and PowerPC platforms. The debug versions were built with the compile time symbol qNeoDebug defined. The production versions were built with it undefined. Make sure that you define or comment out this symbol in NeoTypes.h so that it matches the library you are using. See the NeoPersist documentation for more information on debugging NeoPersist-based applications.
This release contains documentation for NeoPersist and full source code for a couple of sample applications that illustrate how to use NeoPersist under MetroWerk's PowerPlant 1.0.1. NeoBench is a benchmark program that illustrates the incredible performance that NeoPersist and NeoAccess deliver. The Laughs sample shows how easy they are to use. The source for either of these application can also be used as a jumping off point for your own application using NeoPersist.
NeoPersist 3.0 is distributed as a standard feature of CodeWarrior in the NeoPersist folder inside the PowerPlant folder. The NeoPersist folder includes all NeoPersist header files, source files, libraries and documentation (and this README file).
Upgrading to NeoAccess

Some developers may decide to upgrade from the object persistence capabilities of NeoPersist to NeoAccess, NeoLogic's full-featured cross-platform database engine.
Information about NeoAccess can be found in the NeoLogic folder on the root of the CodeWarrior CD-ROM. This folder includes overview information describing the benefits of NeoAccess' object database capabilities.
